Cookie Notice
Effective 3 October 2026
In short
- We set cookies only when you sign in: one keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one protects Continue with Google.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- That’s why there’s no cookie banner to click.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser so it can remember something between visits, such as that you’re signed in.
The cookies we use
The public pages of this website set no cookies at all. When you sign in, we set these:
- Name
- gride_session
- What it does
- Keeps you signed in
- Type
- Strictly necessary, set by G-Ride itself
- When it’s set
- Only when you sign in
- How long it lasts
- 30 days, or until you sign out
- Protection
- Scripts can’t read it, and it’s sent only over a secure (HTTPS) connection
- Name
- g_oauth
- What it does
- Remembers the Google sign-in you started, so no one else’s can be swapped in
- Type
- Strictly necessary, set by G-Ride itself
- When it’s set
- Only when you tap Continue with Google
- How long it lasts
- Deleted when you’re back from Google, or after 10 minutes
- Protection
- Scripts can’t read it, and it’s sent only over a secure (HTTPS) connection
What we don’t use
No analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers. We don’t store anything else in your browser either. When you follow a link to Facebook or Messenger, Meta’s own cookie policy applies there, and when you continue with Google, Google’s does.
Managing cookies
You can see and delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won’t be able to sign in or stay signed in.
Changes
If we ever add cookies that aren’t strictly necessary, for example to measure how the site is used, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this notice. For how we handle personal data in general, see our Privacy Notice.
